The 48th Season of Voices of North Georgia
Every Time I Feel the Spirit
Friday, October 21st and Saturday, October 22nd 7:30 p.m., St. Paul United Methodist Church 404 Washington Street, Gainesville, GA. No other choral style has been as readily included in chorus concerts the world over as the American Spiritual. Spirituals, originating from the work songs of the Southern African-American slaves in the 1700 and 1800s, are cherished tunes that have been transformed by many arrangers into incredible choral compositions full of energy, excitement and “spirit”.
