AUDITIONS IN PROGRESS!
Do you love to sing? Then join one of North Georgia’s great community choruses, Voices of North Georgia (formally know as the Gainesville Chorale), for its spectacular 40th anniversary season! This year the fifty-voice group, under the direction of Bruce Alan Nunley, will present three incredible concert weekends, including their fall concert, Let’s Go to the Movies! a celebration of classic movie music, The Voice of Christmas in December featuring modern holiday favorites as well as selections from Handel’s Messiah and a grand finale performance in April of Forty Fabulous Years: an Anniversary Concert. Our Mission Statement
Voices of North Georgia is a community chorus dedicated to the presentation of a wide variety of sacred and secular music of a high artistic quality to the people of Gainesville and north Georgia.
Voices of North Georgia encourages its members to enrich their love of choral music and to further develop their musical skills, and it provides a forum for its members to gather for fellowship.

Voices of North Georgia is an extraordinary group of musicians from the north Georgia region who pursue enjoyment and artistic fulfillment through the choral arts.

A true community chorus, Voices of North Georgia's members represent the ever-growing and diversifying north Georgia population.

Members including professionals, students, retired persons and homemakers come from all walks of life, from a variety of professions, and from all over the world to join together for an enjoyable time of fellowship and making music.

Voices of North Georgia (formerly known as The Gainesville Chorale) originated in 1968, and presents an average of three to four concert weekends each season, which runs from mid-August to early May.

Voices of North Georgia is accompanied in performance by a variety of instrumental ensembles, orchestras, and solo instrumentalists. Vocal solo opportunities in concerts are regularly available to the embership.

Voices of North Georgia annually presents the Christmas portion of Handel¡¦s Messiah. Other works presented by VNG in past seasons include the Mozart, Fauré and Brahms requiems, the Vivaldi Gloria, spirituals, compositions from Gilbert and Sullivan operettas and Broadway musicals, and patriotic standards.

with Us?

Voices of North Georgia is open to any person who has a basic ability to read music notation and a love of singing choral music from Bach and before to Broadway and beyond. A simple new member audition is needed for proper placement in the chorus. Auditions are held in July/August and mid-season in December/January.
